#VogueChallenge, what it is all about.

The VogueChallenge has taken social media by storm with over 70,000 posts both on Instagram and Twitter but many are hopping on to this train without really knowing what it is all about.

The Vogue Editor in Chief, Anna Wintour, in plight of the BlackLivesMatter protests and companies pushing to promote racial diversity, pledged in a letter of staff that her publication will “do better” when it comes to featuring black models and photographers. She sent an email to Vogue staffers on June 9, holding herself accountable for a lack of diversity at the publication over the years.

This, of course brought up a lot of comments from the black community but a lot of people worldwide happily joined in the challenge and are posting photos as though they were on a Vogue cover. The viral hashtag was started by Salma Noor, a student and aspiring model based in Oslo, Norway.

The number of posts on Instagram as of today.

Here are some of the posts.
